天津市石化通用機械研究所簡介是市屬科研院所，占地面積 6112平方米，總資產1392萬元，擁有各種實驗及生產設備300余臺套，有一大批高級專業人員。主要從事環保機械，通用機械，非標設備生產及生產線，一、二類壓力容器的開發及污水處理、管線、中央空調、電氣成套工程的設計、施工以及液壓換向多路閥的生產，物業管理等業務。經過22年的發展和近幾年的轉制，目前已經形成以研究所為母體，下屬四個產業化實體，即，機電技術成套公司、昌華物業管理有限公司、液壓多路閥分廠、中試分廠，和三個獨立事業法人檢測機構，即，機械工業減變速機產品質量監督檢測中心、天津市質量監督檢驗站第57站、機械工業變速機標準技術中心的科技型集團。
