鄭州機械研究所位于河南省省會鄭州市，經歷了50多年的發展歷程，從機械工業部直屬的一類綜合研究所轉制成了中央大型科技型企業，集科學研究、新產品開發、成果轉化、技術服務、人才培養、規模化生產、自主進出口經營于一體，是河南省首批認定的高新技術企業和河南省科技創新試點企業。全所現有員工1000余人，其中享受國務院特殊津貼專家36人，研究員63人，高級工程師150余人。

 

    鄭州機械研究所是我國齒輪傳動、機械強度與振動、新型釬焊材料和化學標樣等行業的技術歸口單位，建有15個國家級和省部級科技創新平臺和行業服務平臺，承擔完成了許多國家重大工程、重大裝備的科研攻關任務，成功解決了三峽、葛洲壩、海洋工程等多項重大工程中的核心技術難題,研制填補國內空白的首臺（套）新產品180余個，制修訂國家標準178項，獲得各種科技獎
